IDK but my 180 gallon fish stand has a lot of water trap under it.....the setup is on concrete floor but IDK why there is always water present under my fish stand and once in a while there will be a pool of water right next the the stand where water tends to come from...should I empty the whole thing and get it clean or what should I do? I also noticed that just now like an hour ago, inside the cabinets were all wet..and had a puddle in it....could my tank possibly be leaking? I checked and nothing on the glass seems to be dripping or wet...
Thanks

The water HAS to be comming from somewhere. If you are not around the tank, and water still appears, the only possibility is a leak. There doesn't have to be water on the glass to have a leak, the most common place for a leak IMO is the bottom trim....

MAN! I just bought this tank too! So should I take it down and check and do a re-seal?

What kind of filters do you have. I have had a HOB filter that leaked out of the motor where the power cord came out. I have seen water wick around a canopy and run down the front of the glass too (from fish splashing inside). I would guess a cracked or bad seam on the tank last, especially if you say the outside of the stand seems dry (plus taking down a tank sucks).

Here is a leak finding idea: All around the inside and outside of your stand, tape paper towels. On the towels make a thick line with a water soluable marker horizontal to the ground. When the water leaks over these marks it will run in those spots, or at least help you chase the issue down.

Good ideas. I have had a HOB filter leak too. You could try the paper towel idea.

I already started taking it down... :(
I know its not the filters as I saw it leaking from the bottom of the tank around the seams.....This ****ing sucks!
How much does it cost to re-seal everything back up? It's a 180 gallon.

I just checked on my filters and one of them seems to be wet....Dripping a little big.....IDK what type of filter it is but it where the power/electrical stuff on the filter is located seems to be wet....Is this what you guys experienced?
Thanks

Anyone?

If you saw it leaking around the seams, then you most likely have a leak around the bottom trim as I suspected. Is the HOB leaking or could you have spilled water on it while taking down the tank?
