My boyfriend and I were halfway out the house when he clamors up to me like a kid at Christmas. Sure enough we have Red Belly eggs.
We originally started with seven in a 125, then we got an offer of seven more large RBP for only $75 so we couldn't turn it down considering that another LFS wanted $125 for 3. I was afraid it was going to be too much fish in that tank but they seem to be doing fairly well, for now anyway. We also have 3 or 4 cory cats in there as well as around 40 or more white clouds and a few guppies.
It seems that one piranha (female?) is guarding the eggs. It's the one on the far left.
So, what should I do? lol Try and remove them to another tank? Let nature take it's course?
One section of eggs.
