So I didn't post anything yesterday due to my hatred towards fish. Here's the story

Two days ago, I noticed my lcd on my thermostat in my apartment is blank. I left, and stayed the night somewhere else (they should be coming to fix it tomorrow). I came back yesterday morning to a hot apartment (about 85ish) and a tank with my 4 new juvie fronts dead. Then, i was suppossed to go get feeders for my pbass, but couldn't make it before they closed. I came back to my tank 30 minuted after the store had closed o fing my pbass with my tsn down its throat. I was so mad. I left the room, and cam back 2 hours later to find the pbass dead with a hole in its stomach (looked like acid or something).

One day, 6 fish. Horrible. I hope the rest of the tanks can stand the heat for the night, I'm opening some windows and turning the heaters down, with some cold w/c also.

I've been there and feel for what you're going through. Save the rest by boosting aeration and floating some frozen plastic water bottles to keep the heat stress down. Hope they fix your thermostat STAT.

I have an air pump in the tanks, and I'll be adding powerheads in the morning. I just added cold water to the tanks to relieve a little bit. I actually am in the process of moving, so the smaller tanks won't be a big deal if they survive the night, because I can transport them to my new place tomorrow. I am worried about how to move my 55 without a truck so I don't lose my big fish, because my 125 isn't done cycling yet.

Sorry to hear about you loss bro, i just lost 6 fish my self, (4 blood parrots and a clown loach) it hurts but s**t happens sorry bro.

RIP man, harsh losses.
i lost one front to heat last summer, and two feeder gf (8+ years!) this year.
sucks you don't have a basement, thats where i keep everything nowadays, cept my old ghey golds.

ouch. Sorry for your loss. I recently lost a whole bunch of fish too. Made me hate fish for a couple days as well

Well, I have an update. I got my 55g and my 29g out of the apartment and into my new house so the temp could be regulated. I took down my 55 and threw everything in/on my 125 to give them more room, including the established filters and all the gravel, I'm gonna redo my 55g. I'm getting 3 new pbass to add to the 125 for $8 each from a friend (4-6") and everything is looking good so far. I like my fish again. It sucks its so hot in this apt, but I've been freezing bottles of water and putting ziploc bags of ice in the remaining tanks until i can move them tomorrow. Wish me luck.
