Well last night my mom came home and told me she was taking me to the lfs for an early gift for xmas so that I can get some fish. I had 49 bucks on me for an early xmas gift card. Well anyway I was orignally going to buy some geos and sevs for my fish tank but then I see the big trade in tank. There were arowanas, pacus, gars, cats, and eels. There were tyretracks, fire and peacocks. I decided to get a 8'' fire eel for 29.99. I also got a 9'' Channel Catfish. Now the question is the eel is in a 150 with a 12'' Jardini arowana, 14'' Lima, 12'' Lima Shovelnose, 9'' RTCXTSN, The Channel, 12'' Bala Shark, and 2 little catfish. Are these good tankmates?? The bala and rtc x tsn will be going to the lfs for store credit and one lima as well. Last question is what will my eel eat??? (My last eel 2'' ate shrimp) I don't want to feed live.

Sounds good. Yeah you got a pretty good stock of fish, but like always you cant really say if they are good tankmates or not. Fish are unpredictable. Just keep an eye on them and based on the activity in your tank, you will know what to do. There may not be problems or they could be, and you just make the adjustments as needed. Your Eel can eat worms, maybe even sinking pellets.

Ok I'm taking notes of this!

Those tankmates aren't too bad, but:
a) Jardinis are known to be very aggressive, so it will most likely pick on and possibly kill the other fish.
b) Both the jardini and channel cat will grow too large for the tank.

My Jardini isn't mean at all. He doesn't even kill any left over goldfish. To be honest I think hes a leo. Yes I know how big the channel and Jar/ leo gets and they will be upgraded.

I personally think you should have ALSO gotten the Tire Track and Silver Aro.
Why?

Tire would look good with the Fire. Thought the Silver would help curve the Jar's aggression, but considering you'll need more than one and the fact that your Jar seems ok already, you can forget the Silver. But BTW, the Tire would look great with the Fire.
