Where the gators are
So I set up a 55 in my closet with my big male Jack d and a big female. there was a small female in there before the male was paired with but was a third the size of him a 3 inch and last week i found here beheaded and figured he paired with the female. The tanks been up for about a month now and I have not done a water change because the fish were so skiddish and were hurting themselves.

but tonight when i went in to feed them i noticed a feww hundred babies!! :D:nilly::nilly:Hahaha sucks because tomorrow i leave for indiana and will be gone for a week. So well see what happens. But there first spawn was successful!!:headbang2:headbang2And i didnt even know they layed eggs.

Im so stoked about it. I have alot of baby food for them but the parents are crushing up big sinking tablets to feed them. Ive already seen them eat.

What do i need to know this is the first time ive ever breed fish.

Here is a pic of the male. Dont know when ill get pics up of the babies though.

Im hoping some turn out like him. But both the male and female are Blue Gene so Im really hopin i get some Electric Blues. That would be awsome.

how do u know they are blue gene???

I got them as a guys breeding project. I picked up 16 jacks. 5 were golds and the rest were blue gene. The had bred electrics out of them. Thats the only way you can know. Or if you get them from a reputable vendor. There is no way of telling by just looking at them.

cool that u got some lil one

but not giving them water changes could lead to bad heath problem.

Hey thanks. I was wrong they haven't eaten any. They were all just hiding.
