ok i have been trying for the past 3 weeks to get my tsnxrtc off live food. i have gotten fish off live food before but my god this guy is a pain in the butt. i did the usual i took out every other fish that he might even thing or try to eat and then i just didnt feed him for a while. i have tried everything worms, blood worms, choped up fish, pellots, beaf heart, shrimp, u name it i tried it. he only eats live fish. well this morning i was woken up bye my wife to see that half my artc was hanking out off the tsnxrtc. i grabed the net fast and pulled the fish out. the astc wasnt coming out and the tsnxrtc was having probs. so i was working fast trying to see waht i could do and where the astc spikes where stuck into. i found it, one of the arst cats spikes was kinda stuck by the gill. i didnt want to chop it but if i had to i was, instead i just worked it and finally got him out. the tsnxrtc seem to be doing fine and i hope the artc does fine to. like i said crazy morning, i guess i need to move artc. oh and to add to that the dam tsnxrtc stuck me deep in my hand and my hand is still bleeding and it hurt very bad:swear: darn thing hurts more that the channel cat pricks i get.:grinyes:

update looks like my artc is haveing a hard time. he is kinda siting there. i hope he makes it but i have a bad feeling :(

damn USMC, that's too bad. I like nemerus's. WHat was the size difference between the 2?

I am quite surprised about the food situation, most shovelnose species and RTC's are real gluttons and eat anything, dead or alive.

about 3" and ya most cats eat anything

Mine is quite fond of market shrimp, chiclid pellets, and of course live fish and mollusks. Scrafs down crayfish like no other. I now catch suckers, and small redhorse to feed him. Eats lots of worms and some occasional slices of tomatoe.

dude, what the hell are you doing with an asian red tailed catfish?

those ****s get VERY aggressive once they reach 10" or so.

it will get it's revenge and chomp that rtcxtsn in half with no effort.
