Well I looked in on my Emperor Scorpion the other day, after keeping it's tank a little dry, and I almost dropped the tank in shock. I started screaming and jumping up and down in excitement (OH thought I was being murdered lol )
Here's why:
We had absolutely no idea she was gravid, she wasn't showing at all (we've had her nearly a year) and although there was another scorp housed with her for a long time we didn't think she had mated. Unfortunately the other scorpion died this year, I was really gutted. But now I have twenty of the things
A good friend told me a gestation period of 7 months is usual, so it's very likely they bred in my care.
Aren't their ickle curly wurly tails just adorable?!
