I have a 3.5" female managuense that is housed with a 4" flowerhorn. I first thought the fh was a female but I later found fry eggs in the tank, with the manny guarding them very aggressively. I then figured the eggs would rot because there was was not a male in the tank to fertilize them. I now have fry in the corner of the tank; what a surprise. These should be some wlid looking fish. Stay tuned.

You sure those are eggs in the corner?
The Manguenese and the FH are a little too little to be mating quite yet....

I am quite sure. There are about 30-40 fry in the corner of my tank.
There are only 2 fish in the tank, a 3.5-4" female Managuense and
a 4" male Flowerhorn.
Yes, I agree; these should be some fascinating looking fish. Stay tuned.
Also, when should I remove/ separate the fry from the parents?

I figured they were to small as well, Serygo. However, it is what it is.
I have a 6.5-7" female RD (LABIATUM) that has yet to lay
an egg. She resides in my 135g with an 8" Barred Midas male that
chases her quite a bit. He has never hurt her, I suppose he just
wants her to lay eggs.
