What about these Platinum{white} Angels ?

Anyone have any... any information on them.. do they breed or are they sterile.. are they strong... all information is welcome ..thanks..

from what i know, care and everything are just like any other angels. besides altum of course.

They're not sterile. They've been proven by Ken Kennedy to be a variant of the gold angel (g/g + Pb/Pb). Pb is the notation he uses for indicating the presence of what he calls Platinum blue. He went on to demonstrate that by cross breeding plats with other strains you can get the other strains to exhibit blue coloration on their fins and bodies.

Ken is the originator of what he calls the Pinoy Angelfish, a Bluish Black Angel. Met him last Summer in Manila, the Philippines.

Platinums are very common in SouthEast Asia.

thanks very much for great info... i saw these two beauties yesterday... just never saw pure white shiny angels... if they are still there i will get them... appreciate your reply...

You're welcome. Be aware that not all all white angels are Platinums. I've produced gold pearscaled angels, and blushing gold angels that are all white that are not platinums.

Not necessarily. But the sheen on the white Plat is different from a pearscale white/gold or a blushing white/gold.

The links may not be a good example. Those links were showing some marbling on their white bodies making them Platinum Gold Marbles. Let me find a picture of an all white Platinum.
