Convicts breeding away happily, but when should I move the fry?
They are already about 2-3 weeks old and seem quite happy. Parents taking good care of them, although neither breeding pair (2 spawnings at the same time) seem to have realised that the fry are all mixed up between the two!
Can I just leave them with the parents, or does there come a time when I HAVE to move them?
1st time I've left Con fry with parents - moved some from earlier spawnings, but out of about 30-40 fry/eggs/wrigglers, only seven have survived on their own. Seems to be a much higher success rate with the ones I've left in with their parents.
Any suggestions?
They live in this tank at the moent.... 2 breeding pairs with fry and 5 other juvenile Cons. These pics were taken when there was still 24 of them in there, but I sold 15 of them last weekend to lfs for £2 each! Good price!
