What am I?

Someone gave me this fish and I can't figure out what it is.
He is about 5" long and is in a tank with 1 2.5" convict cichlid, 4 4-5" blood parrot cichlids, 1 5" green severum, 1 10" oscar, 1 5" oscar, and a 13" pleco. He usually gets along with everyone but will pick on the parrots occasionally.

My first thought was barb and I spent all kinds of time looking for it online as a barb, not surprisingly, I go nowhere.
