Its about 4-5" long and at the LFS i was at they had it in with the black coi. When i asked about him, they said it was a coi Then i asked someone else and they told me it came in with some ohter fish, they had know idea what it was.
I told them it looked like about $15.
So,i got it for $15. Not sure if its a good price or not but it sure is pretty. I have it in with my 4 3/4" jags right now. I fugure i have a little time before they start picking on him. If they do,ill put him in the 55, if that dont work then ill loos the jags, get a nice oscar again
What should the temp of the tank be? I been keeping it about 79* or so, is this ok or should i cool it down? there is jags and a channal cat in there tooo?
thank you, i think its one of the most beautiful catfish(out side of the RTC & TSNC) so i think $15 is a fair deel i guess. I guess i was thinking it looked like it should cost more and sence they realy had no idea what it was,i took it. Dont know,It being what it is,i never seen them here. All they cetch here is some very BIG blue cats. I mean BIG too. Infact, out bye the dam they say they have cats that would swollow a man whole
thanks for the help.
Oh would the temp be right? i backed it down a hair thismorning to about 77-78-79*?
Not a problem, they were free.. If they get eatin then i will get a few red snooks
Just tring to easy the price on my wife, (they cost $30 each) she still dosen't realy know i paid $15 for the cat. I might tell her i got it for $30 and have $15 to go for the snooks. hehe
Hay,if they get ate, then i could play the old guilt trip on my wife(she hates my fish keeping hobby)
I guess if i wouldn't buy a fish and keep it a few weeks and trade it in for another, she would be ok with it. She realy did not like that i gave my mom my $40 HiFin banded shark. I guess she just didn't understand it belonged in a pond like mi mom had...
