Ok so, put in the two Pikes a over a week ago. They dug a hole behind and rock and never came out... Decided to get one more fish to make the tank look alive... lol

Picked up this Red Oscar today, they wont leave his side ! Havent seen them bite or be aggressive but they are fallowing like lost puppy dogs... Not sure if pissed hes in there or just checking him out. 009.JPG010.JPG011.JPG

Haha that's funny, maybe they're going after food scraps he leaves behind? Or they just are enjoying another large cichlid in the tank haha. Nice looking Oscar n pikes!

Looks like they are all buddies lol. My old rtc and Oscar was like that. They would bicker over a cave when hiding but when they where out and about they wouldn't leave each others side.

haha that's awesome ! The two pikes are ALLWAYS beside each other and they are never more then a foot away from the Oscar now.

Awwww they have a friend (That they are probably quietly plotting to kill).

So sweet

The pikes are still juveniles and I am guessing the oscar is just making them feel comfortable enought to come out.

I had this with oscsar and ornate bichir. Bichir was incredibly shy in my tank, then started picking off the smaller cats overnight so i moved him to the naughty tank, then oscar was at my dads quickly killing off anything that went in with him. Moved him to the naughty tank temporarily while we sorted the big tank out and oscar and bichir swimming round together happy as larry! They are now in with a couple synos and no aggression in there at all!

Im thinking you nailed it on the head. They go chill with him for am minute then kinda bugger off, explore a little then go back to their protector.
