What are some beautiful plecos that stay small?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
what do you consider small? Just a heads up........ Another thing to consider when choosing a pleco is the diet of the pleco you decide to get. Some are completely herbivorous, some carnivorous, and others even need driftwood in the diet to survive.

I picked up a Chaetostoma sp. becuase it stays under 5 inches. I cant remember the L#, but they are gray with black spots, also called "Rubberlip" or "Rubbernose" or something like that. Very shy, but very pretty. I was gonna buy a clown from RiverWonders, but I didnt feel like dealing with shipping...

For what its worth, i like the pattern of common BNs. They can go from almost completely black to black with dark gold speckles to blotchy grey and black with gold speckles.
