I was just wondering what fish make the best feeders? or does it not really matter? I plan on getting a 15 gallon to grow some feeders for my JD.

It doesnt really matter. A way you can improve their nutritional benefits is by feeding them good foods so its not like an empty fish going into your jd's mouth

As a treat?

These suggestions are for breeding then feeding. I don't like buying fish from a LFS just to feed unless you are secure with your LFS's qualityof feeders. Still quarantining for a month is manditory, which you could call grow out.

Rosey Reds, Convicts, Danio's if you what It to chase something.

Comets would be the only Gfish.

Like richardhmc said you can bulk them up on good foods w/suppliments.

somewhere on here I have seen a nutritional value chart, but I cannot find it now. However, I think if I am remembering right, livebearers, such as guppies, molllies, platys, ect. are 1) easier to breed, and 2) have more protein. But as stated above, you would want to make sure that you fed them a high quality food.
