Of an LFS getting wild caught Senegal in? In a couple different LFS around here I've noticed the Senegal's look different and are 20$ compared to the usual 5-10$. They have loads of spots and kind of fade from a dark color in the front to a yellow in the back, I have never seen that in any of the Senegal in the area. Will get a pic when I go later or tomorrow.

Not that likely those are the same senegals but they may have different color genes or they are or were on a light colored substrate causing them to be so light colored. I have some senegals that were like that then When I brought them home and put them in the tank they adapted to my substrate in a couple days. I also had a Senegal that when I bought it it was very dark but as time passed it got almost to the point where it was completely white. Also when I put my senegals on black substrate they turned darker. So to answer your question the only way an lfs would get a WC sen would be by request or knowingly doing it I doubt very seriously they would accidentally get one because of the problems that come up with getting one.

Hmm didn't think to ask the manager haha I will next time I'm there, and I think it may be a color gene thing, they were on very dark gravel already at still had that fading effect

I picked up a wc sen from my lfs. It was about 6" at the time and very skinny. That was in july, now shes about 9" and getting larger. I know from how often you post that you'd be able to identify one. Look for that snakelike head and a larger size than what normally is in stock.
