What are the different color morphs for jars?

I have a lighter one as you can see in my pic. I prefer the nearly black ones but don't understand the color variation in jars. I have seen some gold ones on Aquabid. My LFS has a very dark 4 inch jar for $99. Another one that they got was dark. The small tank that it is in has a black background and live plants and the fish is fed crickets. I get better color in my jar feeding it wild caught shrimp as opposed to farm raised shrimp. What are your observations.

Yup. And this is why some say jar are goldish and some are darker in tone.
 
Thanks Awolangler for the link. It seems like every question has been discussed before. Lets not bring up DE in silvers again!
