...That my red devil pair, both 8-10" would get along in a 100 gallon tank by themselves?
I got these fish with an 85 gallon tank with approx 30 fish in it (UGH!) and they survived well enough to breed once and actually seemed pretty mellow.. but when I moved everything else out of the tank, they beat the snot out of each other.. now, not really with serious intent (compared to what I've seen red devils do).. but they definately did damage to each other's fins. Since then, I needed the space, and they are currently they're in a divided 55 gallon (I know, I know, but they get frequent water changes). Since I haven't been able to sell or even give them away to a suitable home, I'm trying to give them a little more space, and I'd like to use that 55 gallon for a runt EBJD.

So.. my choices are to move 6 frontosa from their 85 gallon, 6' home into this 100 gallon, which I'm thinking may not be my best idea ever as this is a 5' tank, and their requirements are more of the 6' tank variety.. and give the RD the 85g tank divided

OR move the red devils to the 100 gallon tank where they're going to have to play nice, because the tank is in a front room and I don't want a divider in there.

Would it help with aggression at all to leave the tank completely bare, or should I have an escape hole for the female, who seems to stand up for herself pretty well, and is only slightly smaller. I did just get two silver dollars with a tank and I'm trying to figure out where to place them as well.. but since one of them is 12 years old, and they both are signifigantly smaller at about 5-6" a red devil tank probably wouldn't be a good choice for them, would it?
