What are the rules for keeping native fish?

it varies from state to state, check your DNR web sight.

If it is not illegal to collect natives in your home state, procurement can be quite fun and very inexpensive.

if you cant collect them then you may beable to purchase them on line
 
Are you in Madison, WI? A lot of the Great Lakes states have pretty harsh restrictions designed to limit the spread of VHS. If you go over to the NANFA forum and post this question, I'm sure Brian Torreano (BTDarters) can tell you all about current WI rules and regulations.
