What are these fish?

I just got these two fish today but I don't know what they are, can anyone help me. I thought the first one was a convict, but its face and fins look a little different than the convict I already have.

Buttikoferi is from Western Africa and is known to be one of the more aggressive Cichlid, also will get to about 15”. You can Google for Tilapia Buttikoferi for more specific information but general care is the same as any other Central or South American Cichlid.

I just want to add that the Texas Cichlid you have is the original Herichthys cyanoguttatus.

well there is cyanguttatus, and carpintis, you have the normal one carpintis typically look cooler but thats just my opinion, Butis' are bad asses, i had a foot long one and he was evil, but really a kick ass fish

Yeah, I just had to put the butti in his own tank because he was about to kill my convict after one day.
