These green marks appeared a while back on his lips. They have spread over time and are a greenish/brown in color. They are not raised or fuzzy or anything. It appears like just his coloring in his scales is changed in those places. It almost looks like algae... i know thats retarded, but thats just what it looks like. The green is almost irridescent.

Is this a disease? Do pikes get this, because none of my other fish have anything like it.

Tank is 125 g.
3 Fluval 404 are running on it.
Last w/c was a week ago.
Params are Nitrite- 0, Nitrate-20, Ammonia- 0

No other signs or symptoms

(the crescent shaped injury on his operculum is from a bite)

I would put this in the disease section, but since its only on the pike and its been this way for months without going away, and spreading very slowly, i thought i would stick it in the Pike section.

PM Sent to Peanut Power, but no response yet...

anyone know?

yes actually! Just today.

Well, Peanut Power wins again. He is the Pike god. Told me its a rare condition, no known cause or cure. (there are theories- parasites/fungus/bacteria) Pikes that have it are known as "Manchada Pikes." just FYI in case anyone looked and was wondering what it was also. So i dont know how he got it, but he's doing fine, so i wont worry since i have no information on how to get rid of it. Just make him have a good life.

Thanks Peanut!

thanks for the update, Ang.
i thought it's an early stage of mouth fungus.
but good to hear that he's doing fine.

Generally this covers the body in larger portions, so it is a little odd that its only in such small spots and sections. Has it spread any more since you posted these pictures?

Its possible it might be something else, but from those pictures it looks like the early onset of what I was telling you about.
