What Are These Tadpoles Doing?

Hey everyone
So me and a friend were walking around the property and we noticed an area in the pond that was not frozed and it looked like it was bubbling. we walked up to the area and noticed that it was a bunch of tadpoles.. anyone have any idea what these tadpoles were doing? we are just curious
This picture was taken on Saturday morning the 7th and it was a cold Illinois morning, like 12 degrees Fahrenheit outside

No idea,u should get a big container and collect some (with the water they r in) then add a filter to the container

I bet they were wishing we haven't had these bursts of warm weather the last couple weeks and they are freezing their little tails off!

probably heading to the warmest part of the pond. it only makes sense the only part that seems to be unfrozen right there where the sun hits the water is the warmest place,.....i'm surprised they aren't hibernating in the mud TBH.
