I have these little white things that move on the glass. They almost look like the shape of leeches but they are barely able to be seen and do move. I have wiped them off with a medicated rag and they come back the next day but only on a small portion of the tank.

are you overfeeding possibly???

reduce the extra food wasted and they will most probably die off.

they're wee aliens that will take over your fish, making them grow until they bust through the tank and eat your children. It happened to me once. Or, could be planaria from overfeeding. That happened to me, too

Sorry no kids here. Just turned 23. But itlooks like I am going to start by doing b-weekly water changes and feed a little less.

The most common invader is planaria. As stated they are harmless, they feed on detritus and often live unnoticed in filters, spreading into the tank if there is enough food for them. Careful feeding and gravel vacs, especially under the edges of rocks and driftwood will get rid of most of them. You said they are mainly in one area of the tank? Check any structure or plants that are in that area and I think you will find something that shelters them and holds uneaten food or fish waste. They come in many sizes from barely visible to the Baikaloplana valida of Lake Baikal that reaches 16", unless your tank is 300' deep and very cold that one is not likely to be in your tank.
