I found a guy with a 60 gal tank for sale. He has 2 12 to 14" pacus in it. What are the pacus worth in canadian $.I would like to save them from that small tank and put them in my 150 gal.Help will be greatly appreciated.

he should give them away. barter with him. start of at free by saying you will "take them off his hands as a favour" as most places wont take huge pacu from what ive read. then if he says no, gradually go up to a pre-determined max amount of $'s.

worth a try to get them for free. remember he needs to sell but you do not need to buy.

Maybe he will give them to you along with the tank your buying... i hope so anyway.. please let us know and i wish you the best.. always happy when someone can rescue pacu ...

Tell him you'll give him $25 for the pair of pacu. If he says no then just tell him thats the best offer he is going to get from anyone, and that those fish are going to end up costing him more money than he is making. ;)

The 2 12 to 14" pacus are going to be way too small in your 150 gallon unless you will use it as a holding tank. Pacus get large very quickly and only the largest made tanks are able to hold them. Also, they are called tankbusters for a reason and if your tank is made of glass, you are playing with fire. If you get them, try to find someone that can house the pacus. Otherwise, you will have 2 growing fish that no one wants or can handle. The Doctor.

I agree. If the fish don't crack through the glass from their erratic, spastic skittishness (just ask Liz/Red Devil:( ) then they will eat so much food.............They get way to big anyway.Tell him to donate them to some public aquarium or a large fish store.
