It calls them "Common" Rays but what is their scientific name? Are they Teacups?

1. Are they hardy?
2. Good beginner rays?
3. How big do they get?
4. How do they compare to a Motoro?

They are the cheap Humerosa/orbignyi type.. No one know how big they get, though some say 35-40 cm.. They are hardy and easy to care for.. But dont buy any rays before the 6th.. ;)

i agree here. easy to care for and definately a humerosa/orbignyi type mine was 16-18" not including the tail. couldnt get an exact measurement because he would never sit still.

Are they easier than Retics?.....i own retics and they´re not easy to bring to eat, after that they´re quite hard ;)

I don't know why people think that retics are easy to keep. They are one of the most difficult and problematic eaters of all the rays I had so far.

My motoro, hystrix etc. Almost jump on any food you give them. Takes maybe a few days to learn them other food.

Untill now I got my retics to eat bloodworms and tubifex. Had no luck with shrimp, smelt or mussles(still trying though).

i have only owned an orbignyi and IMO yes definately easier than retics. i thought he was even easier to keep than my motoro.

If I were in the market. I would wait until the 17th to buy a stingray.

What is the significance of the 6th?

Fingers crossed. Come on export ban lift. Come on export ban lift.
