What type if crays are these, they are roughly 1"-1 1/2" any ideas?

from the red tipped claws and apparent willingness to fight, I'd research rusty crayfish. just guessing though.

They don't look like juvenile Rusties, there's no tell tale red on the side.

Where are you located, are they wild caught? Location will narrow down the possibilities (provided their a local species and not an LFS find).

Cambarus bartonii, maybe. Can't be positive from those photos, but they have a similar coloration, body shape/claw shape and with the typical thorning on the arms.

Cambarus bartonii doesn't come in red or orange, unless someone had found a recessive gene morph but as far as I've seen they don't. They are usually black-brown, brown-green or a steely color. If you find them in sandy or muddy areas, they seem to have a more tan coloration mixed in.

In this area red or orange morphs are usually P. clarkii, C. diogenes or O. rusticus... and those are are larger longer bodied crayfish with elongated, bulky and bumpy claws.
