I have some small mbuna's about 2 1/2 "not sure of what they are (one blue w/ black zebra stripes and one light colored blue w/ black tip fins) I noticed the lighter colored blue one is flashing alot in front of the other and they both swim around in circles chasing each other but not to agressively. Does anyone know what they are doing ?

How big of a tank? Tankmates? Sounds like a Dom/territory thing.

Flashing takes place when a male wants to get the females attention so he can breed. If it was a dominance thing between 2 males the darker one would be doing the flashing and chasing the lighter one. Dominant males are the darker ones. I would say they are getting ready to breed. good luck

Sounds like breeding to me :headbang2
