just wondering what you feed your festae fry on,they are about a month old,im thinking of using nls grow,smashed pellets ect..

i used the hikari first bites with mine, just mix it in a cup with some tank water first so that it sinks faster, and when they were really little (.5in or less) i would turn the filter off for like 10min to give them a good chance of getting most of it, at first i tried crushing up the hikari gold pellets i had but the crumbs were still to big for them when they were little, also what size is your tank? i ask because i tried growing mine out in a 20g long thinking that would be plenty big enough but they slowly stressed each other out, killing each other off one by one until the biggest one came out victorious
and it also makes difference in how fast they grow, people can say what they want about it being the water quality and not tank size that affects their growth but while water quality plays a factor i kept that 20g long pristine, doing wc every other day and they still grew super slow but in the 2 weeks my remaining festae has been in my 120g tank (put him in there at about 1.5in) he has grown almost .5in and doubled in body height GOOD LUCK!!!
