I have one that is about 6", and have been feeding beefheart, shrimp, some worms, and the occasional feeder. Growth has been okay, thinking trying new things. What are you guys feeding?
Thanks, I think I will look into doing more feeders. He ate one of my smaller fish and seemed to love it, so I will look into the less expensive feeders.
Be careful of feeding TSN live fish, it is very difficult to get them off live fish once they get used to it. The process will be very stressful to the keeper and the fish.
and as your tsn grows so does the number of feeders even at 10 cent each goldfish can be very expensive when you are feeding a 26" tsn as I did when I first started out. That was 8 years ago, and I was feeding like 100 goldfish every other day. Do the math not worth it. They take shrimp just fine. I feed mine mainly shrimp. When they are really small like under 4" I feed blood worms from a dropper.
