What are your opinions about hybrid cichlids?

What do you think about hybrid cichlids such as flowerhorns? Do you like them or hate them? Do you think they are unprofessional when it comes to professional fish keeping? Do you think that making hybrid fish is wrong? I personally have a flowerhorn cichlid and love him, but I want to see what other people think about hybrids.

Well talking about Flower horns I think they are one of the most amazingly beautiful fish with charming personallities that are in this hobby.

Not a fan of FH because they have takin away from the value of a trimac. Not to mention if you buy a trimac at a lfs you have no proof its a pure trimac.

On the other hand there are also charlatans who sell trimaculatus cichlid as Flowerhorns.

You do realize its nothing but a trimac right. So to honest the trimac is probly the best wet pet. Go to the hybrid section

These threads pop up on here all the time. Ur gonna find people who like them and people who dont. The fact is hybrids may look nice(sometimes), but they arent good for the hobby as they take away from the breeding species to make them.

I say to each his own. Never had one but know people who own them and I think they fine if the person wants them. Who an I to judge?
