what are your thoughts on crossbreeding?

i think crossbreeding is okii in some instances. but i dnt like it wen parrots are made. there mouths dnt " work" close, or when is done just to see what happens. bt say if a species was interbred to make a specie better eqiupted for aqauriums then thats oki

post yur thoughts and any pics of interbreeding if yu have done so !

Cross breeding is a good way practicing breeding.....The fry of course are used for feeders..........There are many fish available with many traits already making them distinguishing, individual..........Cross breeding, hybriding is for the commerial people who mass produce fish for food, i think.........Strong, bigger, faster growing salmon, YES............

IMO, fish that you like should be thrown together and if they breed help 'em out a little, but fish shouldn't be raised for the soul purpose of creating a unique breed, nor should fish with poorly traits be cut out of the genome.

The world tends to work its self out as long as we don't mess with it to much. (However, I do always pick the strongest and biggest of what ever fish I'm buying from my LFS so thats sorta hypocritical.)
