There are some pretty blue lobsters at my LFS and I was wondering if they could be kept with cichlids and small (2 inch) clown loaches. I don't much mind if my fish eat them but I don't want them to bother my fish.

I don't trust crayfish with fish ever since I pt one on my tank and it grabbed onto one of my upside down catfish and wouldn't let go until we took the net and got it out. Luckily he only had one claw or it would have ate the catfish.

I agree and disagree. I've had a white cray for a year now. When he was young he eat a lot of the plants in my 75. Later I got dollars so couldn't tell if he eat much of them after that but he's seemed to slow down on plants. He's molted 5 times and by the 4th molt (9months old) he had calmed down a lot. He used to run around and hunt more. Now he only leaves his cave on occasion or at night. He's never eaten any fish that I've know of. I have him in a 75 with 4 dollars, 5 discus, 15 cherry barbs, 1 angle, 1 red tail chelsius, 2 hatchets, and a few bush nose plecos. I personally feel if you feed them enough and give them ample hiding spots they can be kept with fish.

Quite a observation there, true, but on some scenarios that a crayfish got some taste for a tankmate you couldn't make it stop hunting cause it's their instinct to feed and hunt. What are the pincers for if it wouldn't be used... maybe yours got bored hunting and 'meh, I'm just going to eat all the food my owner feeding me.'

I prefer "large lobsters" on a plate. Grilled please.
