Out of all the bio media out there these days which do you know or think has the most surface area? Is it Bio Bals, Matrix or bio max? or is there a better one that I havent came across yet?
ceramic cylinders or matrix ect. all have the most surface area of the bio medias.....although sand and activated carbon both have more (sand is only in special filters and carbon clogs up way way too easy)
damn search feature must be down again..... there are lists of all the medias and there surface area... submerged media wise eheim substrate pro or matrix and wet dry wise dollar store scrubbies
