What blck paint can I use to paint cornerflows?

My cornerflows in my 180 are looking faded. Can I use some kind of marine paint on them that won't hurt the fish or anything? I want black paint and the cornerflows are black plastic. Do I need primer too?

Use some sand paper to rough up the surface and spray paint it with Krylon Fusion spray paint

+1 please make sure its fusion, the other kind wears down over time and leaks into water.
