what bottom dweller should I go with...

Hey everyone, so here's where I stand:
I'm stumped. I'm looking for a bottom dweller that will be safe with 12-15 in cichla. I kinda want the "grounds keeper lol" to be hidden and not really be in the scenery. So I'm wondering what you guys and gals think would work...pleco? What do you think cause I'm at a loss...
