Oh, and during that my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy, last round of radiation is a couple days after xmas. Still a few months of chemo after that....

Black labrador X Redbone Coonhound mix
Mother was a coonhound, skinny and tall not overly long ears. good bay.
Never saw the dad I just know he was a black lab, all the black puppies kinda sealed the deal.
He's about 6 years old and 70ish lbs, sleeps all day, super mellow but protective. Loud bay and bark.
