I am wanting to put a blue lobster in a few different tanks. I was wondering how big of a fish can a crayfish or lobster catch. This is not including sick or dying fish.

it depend on the size and species of they crayfish. BTW there are no true freshwater lobsters. For many species I would try to keep it with fish that stay in the middle - upper layers that are as big or bigger than the cray. But nothing big enough to eat the cray

impressively large fish. for the most part crays with thinner claws are better fish catchers than crays with thick claws (like p. clarkii vs cherax destructors). i have seen video of a crayfish climb a plant and jump onto the back of a fish larger than him. it also depends greatly on the crayfish. i have seen crayfish who wouldn't touch a fish if he literally had to walk over cause it wouldn't move. i've seen others actively hunt them. it's a crap shoot. rule of thumb is don't put fish in with a crayfish that you aren't willing to lose.

what kind of blue cray? I have had a lot of the cherax sp and most of them could catch and kill anything. The quads seem to be pretty docile though. i would still be careful.
