I have an emtpy ten gallon what saltwater fish is good for a beginner in salt water?

a good SW fish for a begginer belongs in a 30 gallon tank....

but if you have to do it in a 10 then i would suggest...
a yellow watchman
a pearly jawfish
a royal gramma
1-2 smaller damsels... eg. YTBD
or just an invert tank.. shrimp, crabs, snails etc...
all the fish fish are either or, do not combine them at all.you're looking at 1-2 fish at max

a 10 gallon is pretty hard to maintain if you don't have the basics down, packed.
i would really suggest getting a larger tank...

How about clownfish my mom wants some of them?

you could maybe get one, but they really should be in a 20+ if you keep it really clean and/or get him to host in something a 10 would be fine...

of course i wouldnt neglect it it would cost to much to lose it.

should only be at most $25

yeah the most i've ever seen them for
they usually go for 20 or 15...

clownfish are one of the cheapest reef fish at £10 for a tank bred.
clown gobys are cool for a 10gallon...i like the green ones! they are only £8
