Hello,
As many of you know I'm trying to get a group of Champsochromis Caeruleus together to breed. I'm a college student so I dont have a whole ton of money to work with, but I do have a 265 gallon tank and lots of the champs in there. Right now I have a 11" male and a 9" female that I am trying to get to breed. Because there arent many places buy this fairly rare species from in Chicago, I decided to splurge this one time and make an order from someone online. (I'll keep the name of the business I ordered from to myself for now because I dont want to hurt his reputation if he works something out). After speaking to him through e-mail and phone, I told him I wanted large female champsochromis caeruleus. He said he has just the thing. Wild caught 6-8" females. I agreed to his price ($100 for the fish and $41 for shipping). He told me he would send the biggest 3 of his group. Today I recieved the fish and was very disapointed. I believe I got 2 males and 1 too small to be sexed. On top of them not all being females, none are even 6 inches. Largest fish is 5.75". What can I do about this? What would be a standard response from the seller to this situation? This is a fairly well known business and I figured I was safe to spend my (very limited) money with them. I've sent them an e-mail stating what I have and letting him know i'm dissapointed. Let m eknow what you think
