All right...just like the title says...

I have a 150 gal Malawi setup. Approx 150 of aragonite sand, approx 150 lbs of lace rock and texas holey.

Here is my stock list:

1 lithobates
1 Frontosa
2 Lemon Jakes
1 Bi-color 500
3 Dolphins
1 Fryerii
1 Ruby Red
2 German Red
3 Red Shoulders
1 Super Red Empress
1 Compressiceps
1 Yellow Lab
1 Demasoni
1 Copidichromis Miloto
1 pseudotropheous Itungi
2 Acei Yellow tails
1 Syn Multipunctatus
1 Syn Eruptus
3 BNP

Filtration

2 XP3's with all the appropriate media from the black sponges, bio and ultra fine sponges

1 Aquaclear 110

I also have 2 Hydra Kolaia's to help with the water currents.

I do weekly 50-80% water changes and feed just once a day.

My water parameters are all great...no ammonia, nitrites and 20-30 ppm nitrates.

Overall I am pleased with the tank....but the water remains just a touch cloudy. I set this tank up about 2 months ago...but all of the stock and the xp3's came from a 90 that was well established. I am trying to get the water crystal clear! What can I do to improve this....is it my stock list? I dont feel like I am overstocked...but I would like to hear your opinions!

Thanks!

I would add an UV sterilizer and swap one xp3 for an fx5 . nice setup btw.

Thanks

I dont have any experience with UV serlilizers...but I always thought they were more for salt water setups?! What are the benefits for a fresh water setup?

looks like your tank is still new? if so with age and more bacteria growth your water clearity should improve. in my opinion a uv is not needed.
