I've finally got him eating properly again since I've had him in the 40g. I realize it's too small for him, he was in a 100g but now he just doesn't work in it anymore. I'll buy him a 135 or a 100 in the near future, but for now what can I do to make him the most comfortable?
I've taken most of the ornaments out of the tank, but it was originally a planted tank so it has iron enriched gravel which causes huge algae blooms. Should I take the gravel out and make it barebottom?
Should I add some dithers? Please suggest! I've noticed a strange physical marking on his head aswell and I fear it may be HITH, but I can't see how as the water param's are spot on and he's only been in the 40g for about two weeks. I think he probably just bashed his head on the side of the tank, which he does.
