my tank doesnt look as good as i want it to.. i just put flourite in and layered gravel on top.. any ideas for a foreground plant? any ideas at all!!! i want to make the best planted tank i can without a co2 system and a 400$ light.. also my rbp's and oscars dont bother the plants at all

Bamboo or not, it's a non-aquatic plant. They don't grow completely submerged. Same goes for the reddish plant in the 4th pic. Take them out now, before they started to rot. Read up on some easy-growing plants, and then look for those, rather than going to Petsmart (notorious for selling non-aquatic plants) and picking out plants.

If you want a decent planted tank, your next step is to get rid of that pleco.

Also, some advice for picture tanking. Don't use flash.

I agree that the pleco should be gone, the tank looks too small to house him permanently anyway. A smaller pleco would be much better. The JD and con will likely damage many plants as well. The plant there is commonly known as lucky bamboo, and will not do well submerged, and will eventually rot.
