What can I feed my silver aro?

Pellets are good frozen raw shrimp for grocery store frozen silversides , krill, carnivore sticks, stay away from feeders for his own good they dont have much nutrition a give a good chance for making him sick.

I feed mine hikiri sticks, crab meat from the grocery, and sometimes shrimp. I would stay away from feeders as already stated, but I have put some feeders in there and nothing has happend to him. I think he enjoys the "hunt"
 
I got my first silver yesterday, he's 4.5 - 5 inches. the first time he ate was this morning and he ate frozen scallops. For dinner tonight he devoured frozen shrimp. I offered pellets at both feedings, he took one each time and promptly spit them out. Still a work in process LOL. Anywho, back to your question...unless you're going to quarantine (and possibly start breeding) your feeders, I wouldn't take the risk. Feeders are notorious for spending their lives in sub-standard conditions. I wouldn't risk my aro's health on LFS feeders. I'd supplement with human grade frozen seafood if you've already got him eating pellets.
