Got 2 x jack dempsey
3 x pink convict
1 x texas cichild

Was wondering can i keep any catfish, maybe some pleco or loach or any other fish with them such as bala shark or tiger barbs?

Tank is 50Gallon

You'll actually need to remove some fish eventually. There are some combos of your current fish that can work together in that tank but it's less than ideal for them all for life. If pairs form with the Jack Dempseys and or Convicts you'll have escalated aggression as well. I'm assuming these guys are still small. The thing with buying young, small cichlids is that you have to consider their adult size and temperament. Tanks can look really sparse while cichlids are small but things can get tight once they grow and spawn.

+10

The most you can keep there are 2 pairs of cons or a pair of JD's.

You have what sounds as an overstocked 100 gallon especially if it includes the large Pacu in your avatar. The OP has half the gallons of your tank with a few potential breeding pairs. I just don't think that cramming as much as he can in his tank is going to help him enjoy the hobby or keep his fish healthy over an extended time period. Just because you can fit a large number of fish in a tank doesn't mean that it is a good idea. You don't have to be a minimalist but you do have to use some simple reasoning when keeping fish while considering adult size, breeding behavior, filtration, tank capacity, and individual species requirements.

I think the Texas is gonna Cr@p all over the others when he gets larger
