I have been reading what others have in their tanks  and they seem to have a lot more than I do. I currently have 2 motoro rays and a jardini in my 320 gallon plywood tank (71 x 34 x 31h) with a 60 gallon w/d sump.

I was worried that the tank would be too crowded when they were full grown, so I haven't added any other tank mates. Am I being too careful? I do 2 water changes a week for a total of 25%. Would 3 tinfoil barbs or tiger dats be too much or would they be a problem for the jardini or the rays? I want to keep the rays and jar for life (theirs, not mine).

The problem with introducing any more fish into the Jardinis territory is that it'll probably kill them. I have a 300 with a jardini and a giant gourami and I'm not thinking about adding more. Bio load isn't the problem, aggression is. I'd vote for leaving it alone. Sometimes less is more.

I need to borrow a camera, I only have a picture of the tank empty (no fish) when I first moved it in after grinding out the rust from the metal frame and stand and repainting it.

pretty risky at this point, but larger tinfoils are pretty easy to find and not very expensive since people like to turn them in after they realize how big they are going to get. you might try them. might try a larger oscar or jag instead, too.

i guess it kinda depends on how big the jar is, too. how big is it?

for a jardini i would go with large common barbs, bichirs, and some parachromis

from what i'm aware of, an aggressive jar could kill anything it wanted to. i'd say rallysman has a good point.
