Im new to the site and was looking for some help on choosing a canister filter for my 135gallon. What filter would you reccomend? I dont have the funds for a new fluval FX5, is there any other that would work just as well? Would building a sump out of a 10 gallon tank be a better idea? Thanks in advance for any input

There isn't a canister out there cheaper then an FX5 that can effectively filter a 135g aquarium. Best bet would be to go with a couple Aquaclear 110 hang on back filters. I think you can get them for under $60.00 a piece right now.

Ten gallon tank is too small for a sump on a 135g.
