Ok guys I'm currently running an fluval fx5 on my 150. Now that my 3 pbass are roughly 10" id like to add another filter cause they are producing more waste at this bigger size. I was looking at the ehiem but I don't know much about them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm a fan of running the same type equipment on all my tanks. Easier to service, keep spare parts/media and you can also swap the filters around. So I would go with another FX5.

for the price i really like the marineland 360.. you can put alot of bio media in them and parts can be found at any big box or small pet store.

My thoughts exactly. If you like your fx5, get another.

Not to say another brand is bad, just that you'll have 2 completely different sets of parts, maintenance requirements, etc.

i used marineland and fluval... i got myself an eheim classic and will never ever consider a different filter. full media and quick disconnects and SILENT. plus advertised flow is full of media
