What canisters would you use for a 240 with a wet/dry already?

I am an XP guy all the way. I love them. Go with the 3s, not the 4s.

BUT, have you though about doing an Undergravel Jet system? That might help you direct the flow of the debris in the tank. And you could probably not spend over $100 with the pump included.

I did think about doing that...and planed on it at first...but then decided I wasnt going to to do it. I kinda thought with the africans they would probably dig up the pipes all the time....and with a main return pump (reeflo barracuda 4300gph@0head) that will be adjusted to send at least 500gph to 4 loc-line nozzles and 2 xp3's I would have enough current to not need the jets. Agree...dissagree?

I would still want canisters even if I had UGJ.....

right on. i was just kind of shocked when you said gravel, like wtf this guy is spending all this money and setting up this bad *** tank and gonna put gravel in it.

No can do on the HOB. I am going to have a canopy on the tank and the tank has glass bracing around the top edge thats too wide for HOB. So it will be canister....

I was going to put the intakes of the canisters next to the overflow chambers....either in the cubby in the far outer corners or on the other side of them. What do yall think for the intake placement too? I think the flow in those two outer corners will be lower since its kinda blocked from the rest of the tank so the intakes could get the trash....or are they too blocked to come in contact with the trash....

This is the tank...see what I mean about the HOB...next to the overflows is no bracing for me to get the canister stuff in the tank easy.

I would move the cinder blocks to the edge of your tank before you fill it with water. :nilly:

One pillar on each side and two more in the middle. dont let the edges of your tank hang over unsupported like that.

Unless of course thats not what you're using as a stand.
