About 7 years ago i owned a pure black catfish,he had a body that resembled a very short eel,he had long whiskers,he got to be pretty thick and was about6 inches when i got rid of him(had him about 3 yrs)he was very mellow,but could take care of hisself.Sorry i have no pics,but would really appreciate any info,i would really like to get another 1 but havent seen any in years.

It's a vemonous catfish. Known as a fossil catfish or stinging catfish.

Wow i never knew it was venomous,i kept it for 3 yrs,it never bothered any of my other fish(unless it was bothered 1st)and then it never killed anything(except feeders)thanks a whole bunch!!!
