I am new to saltwater tanks. I have bought these chemical so far. I know I need to add to my list. What else do u think I need, and what do I not mix together? I know everything has its own schedule, but I really dont know what it is. I know someone will add something to the list. I will be starting a soft and hard coral tank. It is only a 14 gallon Biocube. But I might also set up my 29 tank instead. I just go my sunpod in today. Its a 20 inch 70watt HQI MH. This is got to be the most expensive thing I bought so far. Ill also be usin a skimmer. Thankyou all

mesh bag and purigen seachem
Kalkwasser Mix
Lugols Solution Iodine
Seachem reef builder carbonate
Kent Marine ProBuffer dkh

Kent Marine ChromaPlex
Coral Vital
Purple Up

How fast did you expect a response, instantly?

You honestly don't need the purple up if your calcium levels are good. It clouds the water for awhile anyway.

I did read up on Purple Up a bit. I didnt intend to use it unless my calcium was down or I have problems not growing any coraline.

Honestly i have always kept a strict rule.

Never add anything to your tank that you cannot test for.

you should only add CA, Alk to your tank. the rest of the trace elements will be added sufficiently in your water changes. if you dose them too much you may go toxic.

just my opinion...
